My other (non cycling) half has agreed to do a 1 week bike holiday this year. Nice and leisurely pace, pottering around france / spain with plenty of wine and cheese. You know the type of thing...
So who is good to go with? I've found KE Adventure, Mac Advetures, Headwater and Skedaddle. Anyone else i should look at? Any strong recommendations?
Cycling UK (old CTC) usually have some self guided holidays. Often good value compared with commercial companies
My mum and dad used Headwater for years. Always very well organised, decent bikes and good staff.
Give me a heads up on my profile email in the new year. Catalonia, Valencia or Canal du Midi would be my recommendations from the day job.
Skedaddle have been very good when we used them
Used Skedaddle last year in the UK. Pricey, but well organised and we really enjoyed the trip. Planning the next one now so watching this thread...
Another vote for Skeddadle. Did a self guided week across Sardinia with them a few years ago and they were excellent - good route notes, good choice of accommodation and the luggage always turned up by the time we did!
