For my hybrid. The one I have is for 700c frames but it's a compact hybrid frame so the support arms have to be really long, and it still wobbles a fair bit. There's also about 4" of clearance between the rack top and the mudguard. It put so much strain on the seatstay bolts that they worked loose and stripped.

So I was wondering if I could get a 26" specific one, it might be more compact and fit the frame better. However most that specify 26" seem to say that they are compatible with both sizes. I want one that's specific to 26" or can at least be mounted in a lower position.

I would also fancy one (like I have now, a Tortec Expedition) that has a lower rung at the side for attaching the panniers - keep the load as low as possible.

Thule Pack'n pedal?

Fits pretty much anything, can be switched from bike to bike and front or rear and with the side panels you have a low mounting option.

Tortec expedition racks are £45 at SRP, now you've changed bikes you're having to buy another rack which will also probably end up being the best part of £30.

The Thule would have moved across and would have had the added bonus that you could have whipped it off stuck it on your MTB for a bit of bikepacking of a weekend.

I'm guessing from your opening post you switch bikes a fair bit, though something you could transfer would make sense, hence why I recommended it.
