I've been really impressed with Cane Creek's 'S' series. Ive owned an S8 and two S3's and all 3 have been no-nonsense. Recommended

Bought my last 2 (and only 2) Chris Kings in America mail order for around £60 and dodged the import tax. Both have been fitted to several bikes and will outlast most frames. They may not be the trendiest low profile stuff the DH crowd seem to like but they are zero maintenance fit and forget and never need a new one tastic.

Old hopes were better than the newer design, wish they had not changed.

I have 4 old hopes, all still fine

1 new hope, bearings goosed, crown race worn too.

1 CK, on its 3rd top cap and some marking of the steerer.

1 cheap FSA, needs cleaning out regularly.

Hope, Hope Hope - excellent customer service every time, spares, make in the UK, why go elsewhere?

FSA. The good ones are good as they need to be and half the price of Hope, with more choice of size, etc.
