In my experience, all cycle computers eventually fail, and wireless ones seem to fail more regularly.

I'd buy the cheapest wired computer I could find, and treat it as an essentially disposable item.

Decathlon were doing sigma ones for about 9 quid.

Its free and even loads your route on to google earth.

Just tried it today, was interested in some elevation data, but the battery went flat right at the end 😡

Or, that tesco's one that even does cadence, on special offer for a tenner.

If you don't care about the brand then the lidl/aldi/tchibo wireless computer is fine. Never killed one just seem to lose them in the garage. Normally about a tenner

Ditto the Cateye....got these on my bikes Cateye Micro Wireless circa £30 but got them IIRC at £20 from my LBS. Wiggle have a good deal on this at a shade over £11 quid...Cateye Velo 5

TBH, most of the well known names are fine. Cateye, Sigma, Topeak, VDO. find one with the features you want at a price that suits

This. It's not the best quality thing you've ever seen but mine's survived a few crashes, got soaked etc with no problems.

Seemed to me the new cateye strada wireless was a good bet so just ordered online - a bit steeper than I wanted and just under £40, but its small, simple and wireless and had great reviews.

Time will tell how it lasts but cateye have always lasted in the past.

Using the Trek one here, works fine, easy setup, simple display, can sit on stem or bars. Can't remember model number. The mileage reading doesn't always agree with my legs on how far I've been though.
