It doesn't need to stand up in full on himalayan conditions. it will get used in the summer for biking events and general camping fun.

needs to be big enough for four or five people to happily sit inside when its raining, plenty of standing room - room to cook simple stuff. if there is room to put a bike on a stand inside, then I'd be well happy.

budget £120 MAX, I'd be delighted if you could get recommendations under that.

Am I asking too much?

Despie being summer only, it can get blooming windy and big tents can act like sails, therefore make sure its got plenty of guying points.

Other than that can't really suggest anything specific.

Not for that budget anyway. For something decent to meet your criteria, (vango diablo, Outwell Montanna, Vermont etc etc) you are looking at minimum £300. Even the second hand market is through the roof due to the rekindled interest in camping.

I've got a big 4 man tunnel tent for sale only used about 4 times. If your not intrested in that I'll try and find out where we got it from and post that up later but i'm sure it cost less than a ton.

found it. This will sleep upto about seven if you leave out the bedrooms but has no built in ground sheet so you'd need that too, plentoy big to stand up and get changed in. The only reason I'm getting shot of ours is the size of our family has expanded since we got it http://www.cybercheckout.co.uk/p-362-norwich-4-man-tent-summer-sale-free-pp-.aspx
