Hiya

Can anyone reccomend me some drop bar levers that'll work cable discs? Don't need to be STI as it's for a ss, just brake levers I'm after.

Cheers
Stuart

If it's cable discs from an MTB, they are designed to have the same amount of cable pull as V brakes. Only a couple of drop bar levers do this, Tektro RL-520 or Dia-Compe 287V do the trick though. Avid and Shimano both do cable pull calipers to suit ordinary road levers now though.

depends on what discs you're using. Most are linear pull, so you need v-brake compatible levers then I would choose the Dia Compe levers, charlie sells them I have a set on my roadrat pulling BB7s. Cane creek make a set aswell and shimano have some too, but availability is usually the issue

if you have "road pull" cable discs (BB7R) then I'd just gets some shimano 105 levers or similar

if you still have to buy the calipers, then I'd go for BB7Rs and get normal dropbar levers

Cane Creek Drop-Vlevers.

Mine pull up the BB7's on the Peregrine, and the BB7/Avid V on the Pompino (when it's on drops), and do so very well.

Incidental: I use an inline set of Cane Creek cross-top levers with/on both sets too, (for the choice - although if you need to haul up fast, the Drop-V's have 10x the power).
