Probably a silly question but I managed to bend my rear mech hanger on my KTM Scarp Sonic at the Glentress 7 and I have no idea how to get the damn thing off. Is there a special tool for this, taking the bike to the LBS tomorrow but am a little frustrated as I tend to do most of my maintenance at home.
The hanger screws into a removable O ring which has small indentations around the facing, this is what makes me think there is a special tool for removal.
Any advice gratefully accepted.
Is it a chainring bolt? In which case there is indeed a special tool, chainring bolt spanner.

Yes, special tool by the look of it, but pretty standard as special tools go. I can't remember the name but it just has two pins on it. a bent bit of spoke will do the trick though...
