I have a used rear wheel that needs a new hub. The freewheel is worn out and cannot be rebuilt according to my LBS.
I fancy trying to rebuild it myself on a new hub and would like your suggestions for a reasonable rear wheel hub. The wheel came on a GIANT XTC so I don't want to spend a fortune on a hub but would like something 'reasonable' whatever that is. It will need a six bolt rotor fixing.
I may consider a 2nd hand item if it's in good condition or a bargain etc... WHY?

what hub is it and why cant the hub be rebuilt? anyway how about replacing it with a old XT hub, shop about your bound to pick one up pretty cheap
I'd suggest LX new (on-one?) - sh hubs are a minefield unless you know about them.
BTW freehubs are avaiable for some (but not all - esp non brand OEM) hubs.
