Helped my friend build up his new Soda the other night. He's gone for racing snakes cables which I've got on my Soul and work fine.
The problem is when shifting up the block to the last two sprockets it feels like you are almost having to force it, especially the largest sprocket, almost like the mech is at the end of its travel. It goes onto the sprocket and the jockey wheels line up fine so I think we've got the limit screws set ok, but it just doesn't feel right. Any thoughts?
Cheers,
Dan.
Check the cable outers at the ends for fraying possibly? or crushed a little from the cutters.
Cable is too tight, loosen at the shifter(Sram) or the mech (Shimano)
My gut feeling is the cable's too tight, but if I slacken it, it won't shift up properly.
check the limit screws at the back try backing it off a 2-3 turns. or the tension screw try tightening that.
