Found out at Antur this weekend that my rear axle is on its last legs. The 'locking' mechanism of closing the level over is hardly working. So I need a new one.

The current one has printed on it Formula FQR-12mm - 174mm. Its off a Norco Range so standard 142x12mm sizing.

Unless my Google-Fu is weak, I cannot for the life of me find any Formula axles for sale. I've found the normal SRAM Maxles on CRC which look like will fit but am aware of their questionable reliability.

Any ideas on sourcing a replacement which isnt horrendously expensive and prone to fail?

Maybe try betd components. They may have a bolt through that will fit. I replaced a maxle before with one. Superstar also do axles but I think the thread pitch may be different

The norco range used to be syntace x-12, not sure on current. There are three 142 systems (X-12, e-thru, x-lock) order a dtswiss rws from chain reaction for each and send the 2 back that don't fit.
