[#1021258]

Might be going over old ground here..
After seeing the quality of JoJoA1's photos , and many others over the past few months, could it be an idea to get a readers pics calendar together, though maybe not for 2010...
Not that I've a problem with ST's calendar (explicit same-sex porn notwithstanding), but a good selection of amusing / gnarly / miserable pics from trails known to a few would be great for the office / kitchen.

P.S. I am not a publisher & have no idea how this could physically be achieved!

Plenty of on-line diy calendar providers. Have 2 local printers who could do it. Likely to cost £10+.

All it would need is a thread to get some pics posted,
people vote for 12/13 pics
someone to collate,
collect money,
mail addresses
closing date for entries and judging
get printed.

Simples 🙄

Thanks for having the courage to reply, Trekster 🙂

Would ST Towers be interested in the judging side (Sim?) / setting up a voting thing?
I guess the thing is to gather a heap of photos for each month (scenes roughly corresponding to the month / season), 'pro' or nominated-impartial-forumite to reduce it to 2 or 3 favourites, & a vote for the winning pic.
I guess I could put up a thread in the first week of each month for pics taken in the preceeding month, rather than 1 single thread that would soon be over-loaded (although it may just be you an' me Trekster! 🙂 )
Would have to start it from this month though, to include, say, Nov + Dec of this year & allow time towards the end of next year for putting it together. Purely to get a base of pics you understand, the logistics of putting it together to be thought about later.

If any 'more' interest is shown, 🙄 , will start a thread at the end of this month... But it'd be nice to know how much folk would pay, & how many would be interested. Me, I'd go £10 no probs!

I'd vote for it. Especially if I got to be in it 🙂

At least one regular poster of pictures on here produces a calendar, 2010 version is I believe £10 (+p&p). Not for me to advertise on his extra-tubed-bike behalf though 😆

Taht`ll be Mr Niche himself 😆
These guys do one
Can find out easily enough where
Sure lots of "clubs" do em.

Should this be done through a flikr/phtobucket type group thing rather than posting here on the site? Maybe site would go all slow again 😐

Despite / due to the impressive nature of Mr Niches package, might try this for the lay-mans point of view.

Maybe setting up a group etc. on flickr would be the way to go, will have to take a look at that later.

Some of those shots were taken whilst laying down so does that make me a lay man?

If anyone's interested, our club is doing a "Man of the Mountain" calendar.

Pictures are all like this, but in various situations. Some are women, but not many.

Anyone? No?

Hmmm, I'm tempted to take this seriously, if just to see the rich variety of life as recorded by the avid STW observers... 😈

Mr. OfNiche - seeing the quality of your pictures, I couldn't match it if I carried a tripod, took the decent camera & knew how to use it! I'm talkin' bout those chance photos that capture the mood of the ride (which yours definitely do). My own humble example

Like Mr. Opponents contribution above, I'm not sure there's legs in it ( 🙂 ), but watch this space.
