Hi,

In my hunt for a reasonably priced 2nd hand ebike for the Mrs I've seen one but it needs a new battery.

When Ive done a bit of googling it suggests that an ebike battery is good for between 2 and 4 years depending on how its used and stored etc and needs to be replaced eventually anyway.

I've watched a few YouTube videos and it suggests they are just lots of 18650 batteries connected together in a battery box.

Has anyone sent a battery off to be rebuilt, re celled or what ever its called?

How did it work out? Who did you use? How much did it cost? Did it come with a warranty? Would you use them again or just buy a new battery?

Thanks

I looked into it for a Bosch 500 battery, it was £350 ish to have new cells/board put in, if £475 for a new replacement.

I went with new. Seemed sensible for the price difference.
