Hmm....Im surprised anyone needed BAE to develop this...I reckon Guy Martin could have knocked that up pretty quickly at a 1/100 of the price. Sorry but it just looks a bit "basic". Would hope BAE use better technology for our deference systems.

I suspect the welding and metalwork aren't the important things, not like the variable vane fan and the sensors and associated electronics and software that were the BAE bits. Which are basically all the bits that Guy Martin couldn't possible bodge together from inside a Volvo lorry inspection pit.

That's kinda what I assumed, but is there anything to stop you just doing that on any other programmable trainer, 5 seconds corner, 5 seconds flat, etc?
Probably not, but the feel of mag trainers is a bit crap, so to be able to do it with air resistance is pretty cool.
True, my money's on they gave the project to a load of aeronautical engineering grads, hence the apparent 'sledgehammer to crack a nut' results.
Process Engineers would have built a fluid trainer with a variable orifice, electrical engineers would build a mag trainer, etc.
If the electrical engineers and software guys had a party then you'd have a Neo 🙂
