So why do I think I will just ****ing tinker with thew brakes. One lost washer later and I still can't get the pads baCK In. I only went doiwn the garage to pump up the bloody tyre!

you DO know you don't have to dismantle the brake caliper to get the pads out ??

pah! call that incompetence, you should try bleeding your brakes! see you if can make the leap from hydraulic to pneumatic brakes! I've managed to do that! 🙄 (they now contain more air than fluid!)
