Well the need for a cross bike arises again!
Seems like I missed the boat on a Giant TCX SLR 2 as they are all sold out in a large.
Looking at the Raleigh, anyone own one what do you reckon?
Quite pricey for spec but mite be able to get a trade deal.
Maybe also Kinesis Pro 6?
Looking at the grand price or just over.
Thanx,
Max

Yeah,
Buildings not an issue.
Was on a budget so was trying to find something complete around the 1000 Mark.
Thanx,
Max

Raleigh RX Comp review : http://road.cc/content/review/97835-raleigh-rx-comp

As for TCX SLR 2, maybe give All-Terrain a ring tomorrow?

Probably just crap online stock control, but might have one.

EBC have a M/L in stock: http://www.edinburghbicycle.com/products/giant-tcx-2-14

Norco A1 as a left field option?

Hi,
Thanx Jamie for the options.
I work in a Giant dealership so I can get hold of a m/l TCX.
But interesting if they have a large in stock.
Hmm,
Mite be worth a call.
Seen the RX review in cc just wanted some more tests from people on this forum.
Thanx,
Max.

I've got an RX comp I've been running as a demo bike for a few months now. To be fair, I've not ridden it all that much, but the miles I have done it have been very enjoyable. £1200 may not look all that competitive on paper, but it does come with BB7's (rather than BB5's which CX bikes are often downgraded to) and no obvious corners cut on the spec.

If you're after a 55cm bike, I will be selling mine on very soon, to make way for another demo bike. It's probably covered no more than 150 miles if I'm honest, as I'm usually out on either one of my mountain bikes or my road bike. My email is in my profile if you are interested.

Hi,
Thanx for the info.
As I am 6'2" probably looking at the 57cm size.
I could get the Raleigh trade so price would be a bit better.
Not so keen on the Sram Apex as would rather have Rival but can upgrade when things wear out.
Thanx,
Max

I've got one. Didn't pay full price though. Wheels are like anchors, and the finishing kit is a bit cheap. With a few upgrades it rides very well though.

Worra about a CAAAAAAAADX 105 Disc, OP? Cheaper, and apart from the poo brakes, looks pretty sorted.
