Just in case anyone's looking for a rack for their hybrid or other 700c bike with a small rear triangle, I'd suggest trying a MTB specific one first. I tried a normal rack and then the beefiest one I could find on my 56cm Dew, and both were quite wobbly when loaded up.

I found that a Blackburn MTN2 rack which is designed for MTBs fits far better, still has loads of clearance for the 700c wheel and wobbles much less. I have had to move the panniers quite far back on their adjustable rails though to avoid heel rub.

That's a pretty dull tip, and I apologise, but Google indexes this site and if I post it up it might help some people in the future ๐Ÿ™‚
