Raceface/Silverfish warranty thumbs up!

Since most people only post about bad experiences with these sorts of things, I thought I’d share a good one!

I bought my Focus in 2020 from a shop that has since closed down. It came with Raceface AR30 rims, and recently the rear wheel was struggling to hold air. That's when I noticed the rim had started to split at the pinned joint.

While looking for a replacement, I noticed that Raceface introduced a Lifetime Warranty for their rims after I’d already purchased the bike. I figured it was worth a punt, so I pinged an email over to Silverfish, fully expecting three or four reasons why a six-year-old rim wasn’t covered or why "lifetime" doesn't actually mean lifetime.

Instead, I just got "Thanks for the info, expect a new upgraded rim in the post in the next few days."

Huge thumbs up to Raceface for standing by their products and to Silverfish for the excellent service!

All the more reason for posting about a good experience then I guess!

Rim just turned up 10min ago, so they didn't skimp on postage either.

I’ve had nothing but good experiences from Silverfish. First as an account holder, they were excellent, friendly and efficient sorting out problems for my customers. Now I’m retired and just a “normal” customer I’ve had similarly good service sorting out my fatbike crank problems. I got a free upgrade over the factory fitted item that wasn’t up to the power my aged legs put out!

I had a great experience with Raceface after cracking a rim at Chicksands on a when riding my Bronson for the 3rd time. Brink sorted the warranty and just had a small charge for re-building the wheek. Cracking!

They warrantied a Cove frame and several Race Face parts (mostly BBs!) for me. This is going back 20-odd years but they were always excellent then, I had nothing but positive service from them.
