Was looking for a half frame bag for my CX and hardtail and had about £30 to spend.

Found a Madison one on Swinnerton Cycles for that price.

It's really good. Attached well, stays put, luminous inside, good pockets on each side along with some non intrusive bits for keys/cards.

Was in heavy rain yesterday and t stayed bone dry inside.

No complaints and a keen price!

Looks like you can actually fit at least a banana in there unlike my Ibis one. I can barely get 3 fingers in my pork chop bag, it’s a sodding joke, worst £50 I’ve ever spent !

Suppose it looks cool but serves no real purpose. ;(

Yeah, I got some tools, tubes, sausages and a change of clothes (not shoes) with space to spare.

Sadly, this was stolen off my bike when it was chained up at uni.

Will buy again though - quite an endorsement!

Sorry to hear that it got nicked. That's my main reason for sticking with panniers, my ortlieb ones just lift off and unclip so I can carry them in without faff.

Do any frame bags suit people who are somewhat "knees in" while pedalling?

I'm kind of curious to try one but they all seem like they might a bit wide from what I can see.

I'm a little bit knees in on my right leg. The frame bag isn't really an issue. my knee comes over most at the top of the pedal stroke, and by that stage the knee is above the top tube. This is on road frames, even less of an issue on dropped top tube mtbs

Edit: I'd have to concentrate on keeping my knees out if I had some ridiculous forks zip-tied to the top-tube, though.

Mine (Ibera) was barely wider than the frame tubes, obviously bulged out when packed full of stuff but never noticed any knee/bag problems. It was a propper triangular bag though, not a half bag, from looking at a few it seems the half bags seem prone to bulging more or maybe those just weren't made from as stiff material, the Ibrea one doesn't really stretch/bulge much even when really jammed full with a tent.

Hmm, weirdly it was left sitting next to my bike when I finished classes, still with my keys, tube/pump etc in it.

Guess some student couldn't stomach the criminal lifestyle.

I would have bought another though!

Ha! Result. Maybe someone just wanted a trial fit on their bike!

Quick query for yourguitarhero - am looking at these frame bags at the minute and trying to decide on small or large size. Helpfully, weights are widely published. Unhelpfully, useful dimensions such as overall length don't seem to be. Any chance you could measure yours up and let us know? Trying to figure out which size is likely to work best in my frame.

Thanks in advance...
