Quick question
Can I use road bar end shifters and a road rear mech with an mtb rear cassette? And can I use a 10 speed mtb chain with a 10 speed road rear mech?

Depends on the cassette, you'll get away with a medium cage road mech and a 32, but if you want a 34 or 36 you'll need an MTB mech.
Chain will be fine.
