no. should work when not following a course. mine has been a bit hit and miss though with this function. first time i tried it it only auto lapped after the first lap, did 2 more laps and it didnt detect it. worked fine second time though, auto lapping each lap.

No it works on position. Useful in a closed circuit race as it counts laps automatically. It's annoying if you just ride down to the end of road and back before heading off.

Ta, I guess it forgets the auto-lap position after the ride is finished then.

Any way to insert a lap position in the course in Connect?
