Got a fuel ex 7 circa 08 - just wondered what tyres people use? - the clearance on the drive-side rear stay is pisspoor, I'm fed up of buying 2.2 tyres to find they only just clear the stay. It came with a 2.2 on it, but they obviously came up small. Tried a bonty xr4 2.2 but it rubbed the stay - just bought some purgatory 2.2 and they're only marginally better. They still catch slightly when powering out of the saddle. I wasted more cash on a high roller lust 2.1 which came up like a bloody cyclocross tyre.
Do later models have better clearance?
Are people who used to ride them ex fuel ex riders?
Could try redishing your wheel if you've got more clearance on the other side, may help a bit.
It's perfectly centred with the seat stays so that's not the issue.
