Was going to exmoor for my weekend away but now need to stay closer to home.
So thinking of the above. Are they going to keep us occupied for a day each?If not can they be incorporated into a longer loop?
Depends how long you normally ride for but I would have thought there was enough at swinley to keep people occupied for a fair few hours and there are some longer loops there that can be done as well as the normal trails. I would advise using strava to find some of the trails if you haven't been there before as they aren't signposted but there is also a fair amount that's not on it and can be fun to ride.
There is plenty at swinley to keep you occupied. The QECP loop is great but I think it is more suited to a half day where you do a couple of laps. If you haven't done it before I would say to do it, bring a picnic and you can make a day of it. I'm not sure how far the pump track has got there yet but it may be worth a look at as well
Swinley has over 30 miles of trails that run both ways....so that's a few hours minimum before you start getting deja-vu.
Fabulous place, but drying out after a wet few weeks/months.
Not been for nearly a month due to the lack of sunshine.
The new Stickler trail is just brilliant....I call it Scalextric...but remember it runs 2-way and the ferns are above my ride height.
Wear a helmet...and look ahead.
