Yes ,I was a young man in lycra and will be an old man in lycra as well .Far better than baggy shorts which get in the way and are worn by the self conscious

Also I think the point is i'ts "born again" cyclists, men buying a bicycle as part of a mid life crisis instead of a motorbike, sports car etc.

Nope, I'm an elderly woman in lycra - EWIL, hmmmm sounds a bit like evil, I like that 😆

I like lycra, the shorts are comfortable, the pad stays put, there's no chafing, it dries quickly after rain or sweat so I don't have to put wet stuff back on to ride home from work, it doesn't flap or catch on the saddle or branches. Easy to wash, packs up small, doesn't need ironing. Perfect.

Karin, have you got a carbon bike?

I've been wearing Lycra for 20+ years and I'm not sure what the shorts I used before that where made of (wool I think).
