A few years ago I joined a local bike shop's ride on the Purbecks, which was really good and I'm trying to find it again.
All I know is that it was called "Rabbits" and descended from the bridleway at the top of the golf course, eventually down to join the beginning of the national cycle route no.2 (just east of Greenlands Farm) and then onto Ferry Road.
Can anyone help? If a GPX is available that would be fantastic, as I tried many times to find it with a map without success.
Have a look at the GPX from here.
I think the trail you mean is the one that runs from the large rock away from the coast and past the golf course.
Lovely area and some great riding but not much gnar or tech....

If you're on strava you can do a segment search. I believe the "rabbits" decent is called "after double gates".
It starts from the golf course nearest to aggleston rock and goes off towards the bus stop.
At least that's what I call rabbits. Hopefully it's the same.
Or try asking Charlie.....
Thanks everyone.
On Strava, is it within the segment called " Purbeck Loop 1"?
It's Greenlands Decent or Golf Course Singletrack After The Gate! on Strava, or The Long as we call it ๐
On Strava what I know as rabbits is within the "After double gates" segment. Charlie or the Ridebike lot (Ashley Cross) or a local rider ( 8)) might show you if you're stuck.
Ah thanks everyone, I found the segment, I'd originally searched wrongly.
I signed up for Premium Membership and Strava tell me I can't download this course to my Garmin - I know it's possible on some segments as I've seen screenshots showing how to do it (a button on the map's top right hand corner allows you to do this).
If we can't download the segment, how do people compete using a Garmin? Is this a smartphone app only feature?
OP, can't you just insert the trail into a route using BaseCamp or bikehike.co.uk
You only need the start and end points in order to link it into your route - who cares if its a straight line from start to end on the GPS as you just ride it ? Once you've ridden it you can just use the recording you'll have from the tracklog.
