In Bournemouth this coming weekend and will slip a bike into the car as should be able to find 2-3 hours spare in the avo.
Haven't ridden there for years so need some mtb route advice please.
Have seen the STW routes at http://singletrackworld.com/trailguide/uk/south-west/the-isle-of-purbeck/ but are these still current enough? And is the medium route best done anti-clockwise like the big one?
Cheers!
I did it clockwise, a few times starting at Studland. I finished the circuit off by riding along the beach. I was on the
Pugsley, it's a nice ride......
But the Studland car parks are really expensive unless you're NT. But you could find a free spot on the road to the ferry or in the village, as it's out of season......
Don't go in the afternoon at the weekend. Loads of miserable walkers about.
Early start
Park on the Sandbanks peninsula ( road side not the car park)
7am ferry crossing
Just you and a few other early birds
Minimal miserable walkers
2-3 hour ride
Job done
Thanks both, will ride down from Bournemouth so parking no prob. Maybe one for Friday ago then ๐
