Polar are selling their Pacer Pro sports watch (newer cheaper model) for £210, used to be £300.

I've just bought one to replace my Garmin Forerunner which decided that talking to my phone was too much trouble.

So far it seems pretty OK, although I've only had it a few days.

it's available (or has been) for a very similar price on places like Amazon when I did a cursory search.

Ta, I am going past tomorrow.

I tried one of the Adidas jackets on in our local TKMaxxxxxxx - really odd square cut, way to short to be of use on the hill.

Yes mate, absolutely. They have to be rid of all stock by the end of the month so just want it gone. They used to supply Tesco and Argos so it's that kind of standard.

kimbers - there is only one way to fit your head in a smaller helmet,  and I'm not sure you like the answer

My email says it was cancelled "at the customer's request". Maybe they are trying to cover it up 😉

Maxxis Aspen tyres for £25. Lightweight and very fast rolling, perfect for current conditions. If enough of us buy them, we can definitely make it rain.

Home bargains have some camping bits in and as part of that have some butane propane mix 350g gas canisters with a standard thread for your normal camping stoves. £1.50 which is the cheapest I've ever seen!

They are not a very convenient shape (thin and tall) so you would struggle.to use directly except for a remote stove with a long hose.

However you can get an adapter to refill empties.

Earlier I fully refilled 3x standard empty 100g cartridges from a home bargains one and there's still a bit left over.

I'm not sure what the mix is so unsure of cold weather performance, but still 👍

I bloody love homebargains.

Also got Nigerian Guinness 330ml for £1.50 and various other treats. It got a bit more expensive than I was expecting on my visit earlier but I've got loads of swag

My go-to Muc Off Chamois Cream is £19.93 at Halfords at the moment.. extra £5 off with the free Motoring Club voucher (add a £1 item to push it over £20) brings it down to £15.83.

Big dump of Orange Stage Evo frames have landed on the site with 50% off if anyone is in the market? All sizes and a choice of shock as we go to press.

They've also dropped the price of some of the other kit on this page. Five or Alpine Evo frame + shock for £850 seems decent to me!

I'm getting a bit worried about Orange again now.

But I can heartily recommend the Stage Evo, or that Switch 6 mk1 frame they're doing for £900 - both great fun bikes.

TBH they've had some great deals for a good while now and drop the price the longer they hang about. Assume it's just stuff they have to shift (most of the bargains are not the current frame) as I've been waiting for a longer travel bargain in XL that has not materialised yet! Assume there'll be some new stuff before long?

Those reduced Orange prices now seem to be at the RRP they should have been in the first place. They now need to start discounting off those half decent "normal" prices.

If you can point me towards the other UK hand built full suss frames with a decent shock for £900 RRP I'm all ears!

Why would it have to be UK built? I don't see that as a plus. TW probably have the best frame builders.

Because the one you're on about is, so comes with the related additional cost. The RRP of a decent hard tail frame is north of £900 these days!
