Ah thank you!
Sport pursuit also have North wave Arctic GTX Gore Tex boots for £99.99 , that's a bonkers price I'm finding hard to ignore ?I've got some now in my normal size but I'm wondering if I need to size up ?
Payday10 takes it down to £180 if your buying that Halfords set
@oldfart, I am usually a size 10 but wished I’d gone a size up to allow for thick winter socks.
That deal has got me thinking of another pair of 11’s.
I have those boots but an earlier iteration. They’re very wide fitting so I wish I hadn’t gone a size up. Good boots though and a good deal.
I dithered too long only got my actual size now !
50% off Specialized CL (posher than C, less posh than CLX) gravel wheelset.

Oxfam: lots of new with tags.
Endura ones are all small / XS.
I've been looking at the special deals on Pauls Cycles ( https://www.paulscycles.co.uk/)
Not wishing to sound negative, but what's the catch? I've never heard anyone say to avoid them, but going with the old cliche of if it's too good then it probably is...
I'm looking at getting a new bike soon, so if someone can ease my concerns then my money could go their way. They seem to have lots of options, and not stuck XL or XS frames.
Bought a lapierre xr from them earlier in the year. It's was a very easy transaction, quick delivery and when I did need to contact them they responded swiftly and struck a great balance of friendliness and professionalism.
Id have no issues buying from them again.

I've had a couple of bikes from them, picked up from the shop rather than delivery though. Never needed to follow up anything warranty wise, not had any issues
no catch. Bought a giant road bike from them. Collected. Had a few issues - frame was replaced near new then cracked after about 4 years. Warranty support was good.

Before the cheap days of chiggle we always used to buy our bikes from Paul's cycles.
Re Pauls. I had one of the bargain Cannondale Jekylls that everyone bought a few years ago. It cracked (surprise surprise) but Paul's handled it well.
I'd buy again from them.
Evans have some fair dinkum clearance deals with an extra 20% off until midnight tonight. Just grabbed another pair of 5.10 Freeriders for £36. Have been living in the last pair I bought at £45 12 months ago
Merlin have big discounts on Giro shoes (MTB and road) eg Latch for £40 as an alternative to buying from the geordie empire. Plenty of sizes across them by the looks of it. https://www.merlincycles.com/giro-shoe-sale-259974
Ordered a bike Sunday from Paul’s, tracking suggest it’s out for delivery today. Seems really so far in that sense!

Hope Pro 4 Hubs for much cheapness, Boost rear hubs for £99.99!
Yeah but they're 28 hole and orange only 😀 if they had an HG freehub they'd be as niché as you can get
Yeah but they’re 28 hole and orange only
There was more choice when originally posted

Pair up with a cheap 28h DT rim off Biketart, e.g. EX471 for £50:

Fine for a lighter rider eh?
Think I might be the guilty one who bought the black 32 hole
If anyone fancies trying out the new Maxxis Highroller 3 this is cheapest I have found them so far. £53.99. only in DH casing and 3c Maxxgrip, but will be going on the eeb.

Those H. Samuel Garmin Epix Gen2's are back up at there £324. Stock must be coming and going.
Took a punt on one. Had an awful experience trying to order on the website via Paypal. Transaction in the balance and no order confirmation. Anyone else get theirs ok?

25% fancy gravel stuff at Redshift. I have a hankering for a modern flexstem
Yeah I got my Epix from HSamuel just fine. Really pleased with it.
Can someone talk me out of the Epix please? The battery on my Forerunner 245 is getting a BIT tired (but still fine for any rides or runs I do) and I'm being tempted.
I was going to get an Instinct 2. Should I get an Epix instead? Why?
Instinct for pure battery life.
Epix for failing eyesight….. That’s why I changed from Instinct 2 to Epix.
Curse this bloody Forum, curse you @kitchener and curse you H Samuel - a seamless and lightning fast transaction and now I'm 325 quid down.
Got the order confirmation email immediately, will keep you posted on delivery and the loathing with which I look at my hopefully beautiful new Epix (Gen 2) when it arrives - ARRRGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!
(I'm still on my Instinct 1 and it's still great)
I'm still waiting for my bargain Lyriks from Sports Direct, they managed to just send a couple of fork tokens instead totally their fault, serves me right using them... Paid on PayPal so can easily go nuclear but quite like them to send the forks, had a recent update but it was nothing more that 'escalated'.
So I got this 2000 lumen light from aliexpress, £11 delivered with a new email sign up
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005201367829.html?
Now it's a very optimistic 2000 lumens, at least half that and it's quite beamy but it's light sturdy, gopro mount (tho supplied mounts isn't the best o have a decent outfront one already.) usbc
And has at least 2hrs on full beam
Also a big fan of the offbondage ones which has a wider spread https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004731646004.html? £5!
When I think what I paid for my electron lights 20odd years ago for a pathetic glow, it's nuts!
Speaking of AliExpress
203mm x 2.3mm rotors for cheapness... About £12 for 2.
Using them on the KSL with Hope T4E4 and they're pretty good. No way I'm paying silly (high) prices for thicc rotors ever again.

Just a word of caution on Ali Express disks. I have a pair of the center lock zrace disks on my city eeb but they have worn out noticeably a lot faster than anything else I've ever used. They must all use lower quality steel? They have been solid with no play in the rivets and always straight though. Would I buy again? Maybe, but can't help feeling it verges on false economy.
i genuinely wouldn't be putting off/no brand discs on my bike, I'd sooner run an off brand fork or tyres.
Inov8 stuff:

The thread title is “may or may not be amazing”!
I wonder if they do matching trousers? Asking for a friend.
