I've just picked up a forme winster 1 for £160 including delivery.

It looks like they are selling pretty fast.

8 speed groupset and hydraulic disc brakes.

Should be perfect to replace my knackered 26" commuter.

Re the Forme link on eBay there’s a 20% off voucher showing so it’s £112, practically disposable.

Race Face Ambush knee pads are back in stock in XL and XXL if anyone fancied taking a size lottery purchase.

Like most people I had to return the ordered size L as they came up more like S\M.

Reading up on it that suits sounds more suitable for motorbike use , breathability is rubbish resulting in boil in a bag .

Although that dirt suit does sound a bit bodily (in a jacket review, couldn't find a review of the suit) that's got to be worth a punt at that price.

Even if it is too hot I could always add some extra vent zips, or maybe cut the whole top off and turn it into some dungarees or something

If Alpinestars had advertised that suit as 'All season ebike all in one suit' then I'm sure they'd had sold plenty more.

I'm tempted to buy one just to see what it is like.

I was tempted.. but I'm super sensitive to warm none breathable stuff, and first review (of the jacket only) put me off

Met full face helmets pretty cheap on there. Only Small in most colours, but was tempted by a blue which would come in under £100. Not sure I'd ever use it tho!

It may have been intended for moto riders initially?

So, perfect for you full-power eebers then, eh 😉

Met Parachute has always been a moutain bike helmet as far as I know - description says " for Enduro and Trail riding: weighing in at just 700g, its lightweight and ventilation make it comfortable to wear on climbs and safe on descents" *shrug*

I never ride the eeb fast enough to fall off anyway 😀

Oh I see, he's talking bout the Alpine Stars thing

Are those Race face ambush knee pads bulky? Also is it right to size up?

Thanks.

They're fairly bulky, the sizes were way off last time, you'd need to size up by at least one size but who knows what this batch will size like.

I have size L ambush pads so ordered size L, couldn't close them. Have just ordered XXL.

@feed Sportpursuit also have less bulky knee pads in. The indy is lighter (Enduro). Fine for pedalling in. In fact I've been pedalling around all day in some. Then theres two other lighter ones still for trail and xc. One is called the covert, can't remember the name of the other one.

I bought the indy last time. Went off the raceface size chart, measured my knee area. Size chart said XL so I went XL and they fit perfectly. I'm very very happy with them so just ordered another pair for when these ones die

Plenty of IXS stuff at decent prices on SportPursuit.

I'd recommend the Trigger pants for under £40, but size up.

Their pads, jerseys etc. are top notch too.

Could be a winner if you have small hands which are a bit dull.
