Yup, prices back to RRP. The helmet i was after has jumped from £17.99 to £99.

I'll keep looking.

If its not £9 Giro shoes, I'm just not interested 😂

The Ventannas that I've got don't even come up narrow. Probably the best fitting shoes I've had. Well, the most 'normal' fitting anyway.

WARNING - I was just about to put my CC details into the very plausible looking https://www.girouk.com to get a £250 Manifest helmet for £56 but pretty certain its a scam CC harvesting site given Giro.co.uk is the domain my order confirmations have come from in the past.

We'll contact Giro and check this domain but it does look suspicious. The domain girouk.com was registered just last year and via a domain registration service, Paknic in ****stan.

Just a reminder on this thread. If you do spot a great deal, please help us out and include a link to the site. Our site will grab any affiliate commission automagically from outgoing links. You don't need to do anything other than include a link to the deal.

Cheers

I placed an item in the basket on that Giro site and unlike the genuine one where you get a shipping screen this one just tells you to register or log in. It’s pretty plausible though. Even has an https cert… 🙁

Confirmed by the UK Giro distributor.

girouk.com IS A SCAM site

Giro have been trying to get it shut down but without success so far.

giro.co.uk is the official site.

Good sleuthing.

Now, has anyone seen any good deals on boost 27.5 rear wheels?

Missing the CRC jumble sale.

Giro order (the proper site) has just been cancelled, with an apology from them for the bonkers prices.

Oh well, £9 shoes never quite happened...

they offered me a extra 30% off code, as an apology... but it doesn't work with already-discounted items. Not a good week for the website team.

Didnt realise you could pause your subscription and was thinking of cancelling over summer - but had actually decied to keep it as dont mind supporting it during few months of hopefully decent weather.

But at that higher price I'll definitely be cancelling and maybe trying an alternative in the winter.

My order from the genuine giro website also cancelled. Shame but had low expectations given it was an obvious pricing error. Will carry on wearing my 13 year old shimano shoes 😂

Ride Concepts Vice shoe, for £28 on Sportspursuit: https://www.sportpursuit.com/catalog/product/view/id/3055032

I frequently ride in Vans, and the RC Vice are stiffer and a bit bulkier (but more protective), and with my wide-ish feet needed to remove the insole to prevent my feel feeling too cramped. I bought size 10 and normally buy size 10. Eur 41-46.5 available.

I can't guarantee it but from what I'm reading that's correct.

I don't do Strava so can't say for sure but I know a lot of you guys/gals do. 👍

Don't the levers flip flop on sram brakes? So order 2 rears and just shorted the hose on the front one

Use code GAVZGDQL98 for £5 off

https://www.tredz.co.uk/.SRAM-Guide-RE-Disc-Brakes_102709.htm

Pair of 4 pot brakes for £87

EDIT: They are fronts, sop you'll need to buy a longer hose for the rear and bleed up

Thanks, that does seem a good deal, but may keep looking as would need to buy a bleed kit and new hose to make it work. Fussy bugger I know.

For anyone else trying the Strava PSA -

I couldn’t get it to work on my existing subscription so I cancelled my subscription and hoped to try the code once my last month had run its course. But now the codes expired…

but then Strava offered me a year at half price to rejoin. so well worth doing a fake cancellation if you’re an existing subscriber.

"Specialized All Condition Armadillo Elite Bike Tyre- 700x28c Folding"

My Sirrus came with the 2012 version of Specialized 700x28c Armadillos and they were the worst tyre I've ever used. They were horrible to ride, difficult to fit, and not that puncture resistant. Hopefully they've improved.

I've cancelled the subscription and hoping they will email offering half price to sign in up again but im not holding my breath

Nah, assuming you are in the UK, the pre and post discount prices are both sans vat.  With vat it  was around 2100 Eur.

Agree that it's not that amazing an offer

An ARC Turq frame is currently £2k in the UK...that frame will be ~£1200-£1300 (after exchange/VAT/Duty).  Up to an £800 seemed like a decent saving to me.
