60lux front and a rear light with a built in reflector.

60lux isn't going to let you descend an unfamiliar alpine pass at warp speed, but it's fine for the average B-road and not blinding oncoming traffic, and does have an automatic dimming function depending on ambient light and a battery level gauge.

And the rear light looks like it's the legal minimum, but does have an integrated reflector so they look much brighter when there's traffic about.

A useful set if you're one of those people who insist on riding on the road with a bazillion lummen Exposure Joystick on your bars so that you think you can be seen by cars when the reality is the driver can now only see the small portable sun you're aiming at them.

Strange not to mention "German" STVZO compliance on web page, didn't think to pick up a pack in-store yesterday to look at, might pop in tomorrow.

It doesn't even say it on the body of the light, but the lense has the squiggly line and a k number. The LED is pointed back/down at the frflector which bodes well and I tied it out in the shop and it's definitely a cut-off beam.

Oops, so desperate to get home after a busy shit while not feeling great, I forgot to go over the road to Lidl before heading home! 😳

Might still be cycle gear left on Saturday when I'm next in, or I could do a special trip to the one ~5mins or so up the road from home over the next two days.

I just picked up a couple of tools there, they seem to be well made. The lights look as if they might not last too long - the plastic seems a bit brittle - but great for the price.

I wanted to get a work stand but decided cycling home with that under my arm might not be the brightest idea. I might go and pick one up later as seemed to be quite sturdy.

The strap seems to be made out of a slightly stretchy plastic rather than the silicone rubber most are which is a bit of a worry, on the other hand it didn't wobble and get knocked down as much as my other light.

The light itself looks quite well made, might not survive a drop onto a hard floor, but it's not bendy/flimsy plastic. I want to try and rig up something like an old magicshine as a simple on/off to use with it as a main beam for winter road rides.

Rode home tonight with it. As expected 60lux isnt 2000lumen, but it is quite a well distributed beam, on a flat road theres a decent ammount of light and enough spills out to pick out road signs etc. Not as good as my expensive b+m dynamo, but better than the cheap chinese one on the commuter.

Actually a good thing that its quite bulky, it shines past the garmin!

The markings on the case say 2W, so thats probably about 200lumen, if you assume the dipped beam is maybe 1/3 of the 'cone' you get from a normal light it gives an idea of the effective brightness.

The bracket has a swivel if youve got bendy bars, so if the band does snap it should be simple enough to bolt it to a different one.
