Twice the price of the last (complete) bike I bought!

Clearly I need a better job!

Direttissimas here apparently, if anyone’s interested

3 at time of writing, never used the shop though

Seems like quite a few German shops have stock of a various trickstuff brakes.... Maybe the DT Swiss buyout has up'ed production. They all seem to include vat though prior to shipping so many either won't be selling to the UK or you'll have to 'try' to claim back the vat.

I suspect it’s that stuff that was ordered months/years ago has now been fulfilled.

Given how prolific Pace/DT forks are, I agree with Tom.

I actually wanted some of these ages ago but now I have the Hope Tech 4 and they're such a huge improvement over anything else I've had. If the Trickstuff were 3 times better I'd buy them but I can't see it. I'd like to try them back to back.

Sharkattack +1. Massively impressed with the hope tech 4 v4 that these are now off the want list.

The Maximas are still a bit better. Nicer finish, nicer feel, more power earlier.

Not 3 times better, but they are the best. Diminishing returns ad all that.

Direttissima, same feel and finish, on par with T4V4 power wise I reckon.

Objectively, buy the Hopes. Subjectively, they really are lovely.

V4 caliper doesn't fit on my proposed frame so I guess I'll have to look at Trickstuff (or Trinity)

612-parts brakes look interesting too, CNCd by the same folks that do the Trinity for Intend, IIRC

Or Radic, the Kaha, from NZ

@Onzadog obligatory Hayes Dominion A4 mention. Slightly higher leverage ratio than Direttissimas according to the frankenbrake spreadsheet (google it). Not all that matters of course.
