Anyone know how the Kestrel compares to the non-clip Five Tens in terms of sizing?

I am a 9 by measuring but in all cycling shoes I have to size up either a half or a full size depending on brand. I have a pair of Kestel Clips and they are 9.5 and fit fine. I also ordered a pair of Freerider flats from this offer that arrived a nour ago. I also went for 9.5 and they fit really well.

Back when wearing Shimano or Mavic was the common option I needed to buy a 10

I bought some of the EPS in size 10.5, I'm normally a size 10 but even the 10.5s were pretty snug (on one foot strangely) but I've worn them out and about for a week and they now feel fine.

I had sleuth ones in the past that are way too tight.

I'd advise people to definitely size up on these. Even a full size up is likely fine.

I feel a bit robbed… placed an order for an adult and child pair of 5.10s to combine postage and they cancelled the kids pair but continued the order with the adult pair.  <br /><br />

next day the kids shoe back in stock to rebought them and now it’s all processed so ended up paying 2x postage.

Got order confirmation email for the second time, but nothing else again.

I don't think I'm getting any new shoes!....

Not sure what's up with people's orders but since this thread I've had 5 separate delivery's from Evans turn up through evri with no drama whatsoever

Mine turned up.  Sized up and still too small.  Shame really

So the new Freerider EPS in a 9.5 seems to fit well - the 9 was quite narrow on the forefoot and on the short side. The 9.5 is very similar in length to the normal Freerider in a 9.5 but less wide (in a good way). I think my Freerider Pro in a 9 is a similar but slightly snugger fit (I don’t tend to wear as thick socks in those because they’re my less wintery shoes).

They’re quite boring looking in black but so much less stupid looking that my “styled by technicolour vomit” Freerider ELC which will be replaced by the EPS.

I also got some Sleuth DLX in a 9.5 but they feel quite a bit too long, although the width isn’t massive. £33 bargain so I’ll try them again tomorrow in case I’m missing a trick sending them back!

FWIW I'm a 47 in anything Shimano. I got both some Kestrel pro boas and some freeriders in 10.5 (45 1/3) and 11.5 (46 2/3). The 11.5s both fit perfectly.

Annoyingly the boxes for both the 10.5 came quite tatty, hope Evans don't get funny when the returns department process them...

My lad works in the Sheffield branch. We popped in on Sunday and they have quite a lot of stock in, he said they’d just had a delivery.

I wonder if they've ended up overstocked due to some sort of deal Sports Direct pulled with Adidas(?), shoes are just shoes to the parent company.

In the Brighton branch they had tons of boxes of Five Tens that they said they were sending back to the warehouse because they’re really overstocked for how many they’re selling in the stores - but also that they were getting loads of people collecting online Five Ten orders from the shop. He understood why when I showed him how much lower the online prices were!

Utterly useless currently. Am waiting for a confirmation on despatch since the 25th oct and can't change the order to pick up at the shop

Oh, just ordered 4 pairs of Freerider Pros for the wife & me and now seen people are having issues with their orders. Hopefully these turn up. Not really urgent, was just stocking up whilst they are cheap.

Last pair I ordered look like they're not turning up again. Have emailed them to find out. Don't think I can be arsed trying again though. Pretty gutted as I actually need another pair after letting my son use my Trailcross until he grows out of them. He seems to be hanging around at size 9 longer than I thought he would though....

I’ve just been in the Edinburgh store - lots of stock but the Trailcross clip ins I was after are £15 more in store than online - not sure what the business model is here - I could have paid £55 and walked out with them there and then but as it is I walked out empty handed (they’re £70 in store) - fingers crossed they’re still in stock online!

So 3 out of 4 pairs have arrived today. I paid for 48hr delivery and they came in less than 24 👍

Hopefully the final pair arrive too. I’ll try another colour if they don’t, maybe ones without boobs on this time 🤔

Was there a discount code available at one point recently? Or am I thinking of a different shop?

Answering my own question. It was EXTRA20, no longer works. At least I'm not going mad!

My trail cross clip in have arrived ordered a 46 instead of 45 per usual for bike shoes. Fit fine, won't be using them in current conditions though!

My pink boobie FiveTens order went awry and out of stock in my size. Evans have issues a refund and are sending me a £10 of voucher which I'll put towards another, newer pair

The Leatt Flat 2.0 shoes I just got from CRC feel like great quality, and they're not narrow ballerina shoes like Five Tens.

Anyone get a confirmation code and then no confirmation email? I ordered some shoes on back order, but would still have expected an email

Posted 2 weeks ago

They finally turned up yesterday (to be fair they were listed as out of stock when I ordered them). Never got a confirmation email (I did check my junk folder) I guess I could have typed it in incorrectly. Correct money went from my credit card to all good. Thanks for the PSA

I've just been on Chat for my pair, he says they might arrive but wait a bit longer. Maybe I should ask for a tenner off too and I'll re-order a pair of the non canvas ones instead.

Do cyclists have narrower feet these days?

Bought some Trail XTs from Evans, but when I get them home they were the right length, but far too narrow. So I returned them and bought some Freerider Pros from Sweatband (which I didn't realise was part of the Fraser group). Since these were direct replacements for my existing Freerider Pros in the same size, wasn't expecting any fit issues, but no they are also much narrower than my original Freerider Pros. I'm now £20 down on postage and returns and daren't order another Five Ten again, cause they seemed designed for narrower feet these days.

Hi Alex,

Thank you for bearing with us at this very busy time.

Unfortunately the ongoing allocation issue for the shoes is still ongoing, however we do hope to have a fix in place by the end of this coming week.
I completely acknowledge that this situation has been going on for sometime now, but please be assured we are doing everything we can to get this resoled as soon as we can.

Kind regards,
Nathaniel

Ordered mine on Thursday and they've arrived today. Ordered a Jersey and a bell as part of the order and they've yet to be dispatched but the shoes are here no problem.

Mine showed up today, well they're not actually for me, now there's two people getting fivetens for Christmas, they only took two days just like my previous orders, but I seem to have a new Evri courier who can't tell the time, late with my CRC order yesterday but two hours early with my Evans order, hope he's only covering for the usual reliable guy who always turns up within the correct two hour time slot. At least I'm getting my orders so it's all swings and roundabouts.

2 pairs cancelled. Wasn't going to bother again but then saw the Trailcross mid pro for £42 so decided to have another go......

This time they're with Evri waiting for delivery!! Woop woop!!

My Evri guy is good so I never worry about deliveries from them.

@rwoofer I've had to stop buying Trail xt as they became narrower shortly after Terrex were branded 5:10, it's annoying as I thought I'd found a shoe that fits

Sleuth DLX and Freeride Pro mid arived yesterday. So that's casual trainers and winter cycling sorted for £86!

Sizing wise I've got wide and odd shaped feet. Length wise I could have had the 10/44.something but width wise I just sized up to the 10.5/45.something. like almost all shoes I'll have to swap the insoles which usually sorts it out.

The saga has finally ended.
I used my £10 voucher from complaining at them due to the delay to cover next day postage on a pair of trailcross mid pro. They arrived yesterday and have now cancelled the xt's. It looks like it you use the faster postage the order actually gets through their system

So, the money was refunded, the voucher never turned up and an order has gone on for some Ride Concept Hellion Elite's from Tredz instead (which were actually a little cheaper with a Blue Light discount code).

Ordered Mid Pro's on the 3rd Novemeber. Had given up on them as the Paypal payment vanished from my account and no money taken. Money taken today and email to say they have been dispatched

I ordered some Kestrals and they seemed to fall into said order blackhole at the start of November. One online chat later (with the offer of 'do you want to cancel or just wait?') and they have been dispatched. So that's almost a month for them to get through due to an 'IT issue with processing the order'.

Seems if you have patience they come through - but it's not exactly quick.

Hooray! Both pairs of Fivetens (one ordered in Sept ) turned up together today. Massive saving so pretty chuffed despite the wait.
