Finally had an email saying Part of your order has been processed, along with one from Evri saying they're expecting my parcel, so it's taken them a week to dispatch the second pair that I ordered.

I received the pair of Trail Cross Mid's last week, and they are brilliant for trailbuilding. The collar stops rubbish from getting in, they seem to have noticeably more grip for walking, while still providing good pedal grip and feel, although they're even less waterproof than more normal Five Ten's, as they have mesh sections.
However I did order a size up so I can wear some thick merino socks with them.

Ordered some Freerider eps on Sunday night and they arrived Wednesday pm. As others have said they are quite slim fitting but I’m hoping they will stretch a bit with wear. Tried them with the insoles out and they are perfect.
Anyway great psa!

Finally ordered some Kestrel Boa's in a size 10 (I'm normally more of a 9.5, but the advice further up seems to be size up a bit).

They'll be my summer MTB footwear, assuming they fit.

Cheers for the PSA OP.

I ordered mine on the 27th, they arrived on the 31st.

Exactly as described and no issues, I did notice that there was a sports direct style "NOW £65. RRP £130" sticker on the box, makes me wonder if it's just a case of clearing shop floor stock and being lucky?

Uh-Oh! have I made a poor decision then? I suppose there's more chance of them having mine in stock as the Kestrel will be one of the less popular products.

Is there better luck ordering for in-store pickup?
I do have a local Evans in town that I just can't be arsed going to, and they still want charge the same for that as having it delivered to the door so I just opted for regular delivery...

This Discount offer does seem to have lasted quite a while, normally the stock vanishes within a couple of days and the offer is done within a week. How badly overstocked can you be with Five-Tens?

I've had a message, apparently they're on their way (with evri).

Got an email saying the order would be delivered on Sunday (tomorrow) and Evri delivered them on Thursday...I think ordered on Tuesday.

Seem to fit well so I'll find out if they are ok as all day footwear soon enough - I don't ride flats but these seemed a bargain so I'm hoping they'll be comfy enough for the office, coaching (in a park) and trailbuilding or evenings out foot wear.

How do the sizes come up? I'm a size 9 and looking at the Trailcross Pro clip-in.

I just sent back my Trailcross pro clip ins. Size 10.5
I'm a 10.5 merrell wearer, unless it's one of the ones with no liner in which case I can get away with a 10.
They were too narrow for me. Not excessively so, but some distinct tucking together of my toes. Normally I find it's the ball that's the problem but not this time.
Length felt ok.

Larger than expected. I'm an 8 or a 9 in most things. I have some Impact Pros which are 9.5.

Ordered a size 9 which were too big (too long, width felt ok), ordered an 8.5 which were also too long. Not sure whether to try an 8 or give up altogether. I've got a feeling am 8 will be a bit narrow.

I'm a 44 in Adidas trainer (which UK 9.5, I think), I'm a 44 in Shimano shoes and Salomon shoes, but I'm a size 10 in Nike trainers and dress shoes.

I ordered the Freerider EPS in 44 and they feel good. Aware 5Ten is Adidas so I'm assuming the size matches Adidas trainers.

More sizing guesswork! My Freerider Pro are size 9 and a good fit, on the slim side but fine with normal socks. My old Freerider ELC (pre Adidas) are also a size 9 and fit similarly. My Adidas era Freeriders are a 9.5 - I bought some in a 9 because I’d always had them in a 9 before but they were too small. 9.5 fits better but they’re quite wide, I prefer the fit of the Pros.

So which size should I get in the Freerider EPS? I can’t see myself using really chunky socks in them, up to mid-weight hiking socks at the most.

I got 2 Pairs of sleuths delivered this week. All good. The leather ones perfect for mooching about this time of year. The ‘sand’ colored canvas ones definitely have a pink hue to them. Nothing to say there were women’s when ordering!

I've just got some, and I'm pretty pleased with the fit. I normally wear a Specialized EU 43.

Yeah, I'm a little dubious about the colour too

Ordered a few bits in a single order and half of it has now turned up.
Still missing a couple of items...one of which was on back order so I expected a delay.

Has anyone else had a single order turn up in multiple consignments?

Order is saying 'ready for shipping' on the website (rather than shipped/dispatched)

Anyway trail cross pro clip in - I'm normally a 10 but narrow feet. Ordered 10.5 and they're spot on.
Also bought a 5:10 flooce jacket, not used on the bike yet but first impressions on quality/materials/fit is very good. Hopefully I'll get the chance to try it out on the bike this week.

Lots of Five Tens at 50% off in the Wigan branch.

So which size should I get in the Freerider EPS?

I'm 0.5 bigger in Freerider Pros (10.5) than EPS (10), if that helps.

“ I’m 0.5 bigger in Freerider Pros (10.5) than EPS (10), if that helps.”

That would have left me even more confused but I’ve already ordered two pairs in 9 and 9.5 and I’ll send one back! (I’m hoping I didn’t need an 8.5 as my Pros are a 9 and my normal Freeriders are a 9.5!) I guess this is what happens when so much shoe production is a race to the bottom in terms of costs… (I’ve also ordered some crazy cheap Sleuth DLX in a 9.5).

Thanks anyway!

Haha, well do report back about how they fit.

I don't think I take the same size in any two pairs of my Five Tens.

I got an acknowledgement of my order but no further comms
Online it said awaiting dispatch, but I did the chat & said it was ready to collect
So just went to Evans by my work and they were there!

Theyre for the kids so hopefully will fit (I too have found sizing to be all over the place)

Hmm, might try and order again but get the delivered into store at Castleford....

Actually, a PSA within a PSA, the Adidas store at junction 32 shopping centre Glasshoughton/Castleford had several pairs of womens Hellcats in for £25! I tried a pair of size 9's but the extar velcro strap wouldn't do up over y fat feet!, Maybe womens are narrower than mens ones...

Mine will apparently be delivered today between 20:00 and 21:00 according to the email I received earlier... I am at the mercy of the Evri gods now 😮

Mine were waiting when I got home!

Fit seems OK, sizing up half a size was definitely the right choice.

Question: is the rubber on the bottom of SPD flavoured Five-Tens different? It seems stiffer/less tacky than I remember their older (pre Adidas TBF) flat pedal shoes being.

Got mine today after ordering on Saturday. Went 1/2 size up but still borderline too small. Trying to convince myself that they fit…..

I went crank bros from 5 10 because the "stealth" sole on the SPD shoe was pretty plasticky not rubbery.
I've tried one of these pairs as wet spares

I think you need to look at their EU sizings.
I got the kestrels primarily for summer use, I've got a pair of EU44 sized MW5 boots for winter, I can imagine if I was trying to cram thick socks into the (apparently sized EU44.7) Five Tens they'd be a bit snug around the broadest part of my foot.

The length is fine, the width of the sole seems about right, but they've clearly tried to keep the toe box strangely low profile and in doing so made the upper a little snug, if I had ordered the UK9.5/EU44.5 which I was originally going to, they'd be going back.

As an aside I do like the Boa, I've not had good luck with lace up SPD shoes in the past so it was worth the extra few quid, and it's for the little back click so you can slacken it a touch if your food expands on a hot day, my only reservation is it's positioning, I reckon I'll be lucky not to bust one, they're the most sticky-out feature of the shoes...

Ordered some kestrels for clips and freeriders for flats, and some new freeriders for my girlfriend when her current ones knacker out on Saturday. Got processed all together tonight, hopefully they'll all come together in a few days...

Is there a clip shoe that's largely water resistant?

Daughter found the Kestrel Boa to be better all round and a bit drier than the Kestrel lace and Hellcats but they aren't waterproof. She's used them most days over the last 6 months in NZ and its been wet. She has to ride flats for work now as its becoming dryer for trail building

Fab thanks Tracey.

Next question: Anyone know how the Kestrel compares to the non-clip Five Tens in terms of sizing?
