Reckon they’re going to run fairly hot so ideal timing now going into autumn / winter

That bulk is a double edged sword. Yes it can act as insulation, but they also work like massive sponges and are a pain to dry out. They'll be grippy regardless though

I just phoned them and they did it in minutes. Also got a £15 voucher for my trouble which you won't get if you cancel by email.

Apparently there is "an internal allocation error" for my Five Tens order "which is causing a delay in items getting despatched".  🤨

Seeing as I'm not "happy to wait to see if things start move"  I've cancelled my order. I'll not be bothering with Evans again, but appreciate the OP taking the time to post the PSA.

Ive just got back from holiday and have had one pair delivered and one not. Had the same email about the problem

Unfortunately, there is an ongoing issue with the 5.10 products which is preventing the processing stage.

To confirm, the product is in stock however due to a technical issue currently under investigation with our IT team the product has been allocated to an invalid warehouse where this is not applicable to be picked and processed by our team and therefore causing a significant delay with your order.

On this occasion, whilst the team are attempting to diagnose and repair the issue we are unable to provide an ETA on this order and therefore my recommendation would be to proceed with a cancellation.

I apologise for the inconvenience this must be causing you.

Please kindly let me know how you wish to proceed

I'm in no rush for the second pair so I've asked what happens if i don't cancel and have been told they should be sent out once the computer error has been sorted so I'm going to wait and see.

They told me "we have no idea when that may be"... LOL. Hence me cancelling.

Had the delay and same emails from evans with the freerider part of my order. Hung on because I was in no hurry and they're nearly free! Just had an email confirming they're on their way so they must be clearing the backlog.

No shipping mail for my stumpjumper evo, but came home yesterday afternoon and it was on the doorstep and had been since 10am! Good job I live in a quiet / safe area!

That should definitely be against policy or even made illegal to do that, absolutely ridiculous.
Evans really have a problem with delivery communication. Lucky it was still there on the doorstep, and also not bucketing it down this time of year.

Dented Trek rail returned and refund in progress. Specialized levo alloy comp collected from the Keighley store on Wednesday. Got to hand it to the team at Keighley, couldn't have been any more helpful. Bike is in perfect condition this time. Last time I mail order a bike for home delivery.

5.10s delivered 5 days after ordering.

Fi e ten pro ordered last Monday arrived Friday

Please note on couriers signature for bikes signing as boxed damaged etc does absolutely nothing, as soon as a signature is in the box regardless if its your name Mickley mouse or says damaged its a signature to say you've sig ed for it .

Couriers will often say I've marked it as damaged just so they can get away onto the next job knowing uts a signature

The likes of tnt etc will not process a claim if there's a signature

The best thing to do if you suspect damage is not sign and refuse delivery

Has the 20% clearance code stopped working- was after some Trailcross Pro's but the code has no effect.

Mine arrived today. I chased a couple of days ago via chat and was told of a warehouse problem and that I should cancel. Order was processed immediately after the chat.

Ordered a pair of Impact Pro in my usual 44, arrived two days later but the usual 44 is to tight. Not a problem according to the advice note, return code A is “exchange required - please confirm size”. Popped to the PO yesterday, paid £5 for signed for next day and was pleasantly surprised to receive an email confirming their arrival back at Evans today until I noticed the phrase “changed mind”. Contacted CS via Messenger and received the following exchange…

Thanks for your time- I hope you are well.

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer exchanges and unfortunately returns are done on a refund only basis.

Thanks, Emily

Not impressed and unfortunately a bit of digging around their website has confirmed that there are no exchanges given on online orders only refunds…and it cost me a fiver 🤣🤣🤣

I returned two pairs and ordered again in a bigger size but despite returning them both in the same box from the same order only one was acknowledged and it took a good week of pestering to get the full refund. Basically what I was expecting to happen with Evans. Still a good deal despite two lots of postage and one returns but only just.

Current freeriders were on the snug side at 10.5 but still fine so sized up to an 11 but had to get 12s in the end for the EPS and hellcats! Never needed a size 12 in my life.

Is anyone still waiting for fivetens ordered about three weeks ago? The tracking just says processing I think so whether they’ll actually arrive or not is anyone’s guess?

Regarding the freerider pro .I've had several pairs over the years before addidas days.

The new ones that arrived have to be some of the most uncomfortable shoes I've ever bought

I've done my usual of trying to break them in around the house but the heal is made of steel

I sized up a bit too

My wife is sending 2 pairs of Freeriders back. Went slightly larger than her old (pre-Adidas) ones. Way too small. Sized up, still far too small. She’s usually a 5.5, next option would be going for a 7 in the Freeriders (and isn’t convinced even they’d work). The sizing is definitely weird
