Thanks for the PSA.  Middle of the best summer I can remember in ages and I've just bought a pair of EPS high but what a deal 🙂

Are the EPS ones particularly warm? Autumn through Spring use, or depths of winter only use?

Anyone have any idea how the aescents compare sizing wise with the Freeriders - I'm an 11 in Freeriders

Tempting. How do the freeriders size up. I'm usually a 9/9.5.

Anyone know if the access approach shoes fit the same in the same size as the bike shoes?

You'd hope they would!

Got 2 sets of Access’ for £84.60 delivered rather than the £200 rrp which was decent and they are decent.

comfy etc but had to upsize by a half.

Got them after a headsup from another thread with a Rock & Run code.

or buy one pair for £45 + £4.95 p&p

Is SportPursuit always so random with delliveries?  I'd always assumed they actually had what you ordered in stock (as stuff quickly loses the available sizes).

My order was 3 pairs of 5:10s and a Reynolds shirt.  So far one pair of shoes and the shirt. Sent as separate packages?

Expected to wait a while but thought they'd ship it all together to save themselves money.

they have no stock, the stock is with the company using them to flog the stuff off. that's why they end the sale at a specific date, they then send a list of what's sold to the company who then send the stuff to SP to deliver

Does anyone know how the Access come up on sizing? I have a pair of freeriders in a 9 and fit ok, the Access look a little narrower and I have wide feet.

Packages are always sent separately - even from the same sale iirc.

Another email from Needlesports this morning about more cheap Aescents in stock. Not sure what's new (more sizes / colours) but anyway who wouldn't want to buy decent kit at a low price from nice people.

Why do i need to log in or give them an email address to visit the site? Hate such blatant data farming crap.

Picked up some of the dark blue Ascents from needlesports while up in Keswick a few weeks ago, was refreshing to go into a store like that with so many big chains and faceless online places around. Guy upstairs recognised my planet x merino socks I pulled out of my pocket to try them on with.

I think it's because a lot of brands don't allow 'sales' of their products.  Being a sort of members only thing gets around that (and it won't show up on google shopping etc). Which means 5.10 can keep selling shoes to your LBS at £60 or whatever trade price is, despite SP selling them at below that.

Andy - whats the sizing on the Ascents like? Have you had to go up a size?

Finally got to try on my Freerider EPS lows last night, the size 10 perfect fit. I'm a 10in the standard Freeriders and a 45 in just about everything else (Scarpa, Addidas etc).

Sent back a pair of the Highs if anyone is after a set keep your eyes peeled.

Steve - ended up with size 8, I am normally and 8 or sometimes an 8.5, they are a little snug with thick socks but the 8.5 felt too long and like my heel would slip all the time. Possible a tiny bit small for a size 8 but not enough to size up I dont think.

Picked up some o the EPS from SP also in a size 8 but they are a bit snug across the toes so definitely want to try an 8.5 in those, just hope they are not too long.

Andy - thanks - my EPSs are 11 and I've a fairly wide foot - a 12 will probably too long

yeah you'd probably want to stick to an 11.

Needlesports have 1 set left in 11 (blue) and free postage.
