Would you like to encourage people to start cycling or cycle more often, and help them to develop their confidence on a bike?
Last April we were appointed by Bristol Cycling City to recruit, train and manage a team of Cycling Advisers. We are now looking for two full-time equivalent posts to join our team based in central Bristol and working mostly in Horfield. The post is for 11 weeks - 1 February to 16 April 2010.
Cycling Advisers identify individuals who are interested in receiving advice on cycling, and provide them with the information, help and support they need. Contact is mainly through door-knocking, and also some community engagement.
We would like to hear from you if you have:
* An ability to cycle and interest in cycling
* A friendly manner, enthusiasm for meeting people and excellent listening and conversation skills
* Very good organisational abilities, and able to manage time and meet deadlines
* A flexible approach to working hours and tasks
* Accurate record keeping skills and are comfortable using computers, particularly for data entry[/i]
