My experience with the camera...
Had mine out for the first time today. As explained above, yes it does loop.
However, mine turned off by itself after 20 minutes. Beeped 3 times then that was it till I turned it back on again. It was fully charged when I set off, according to Facebook one or two other users having the same problem.
Also a bit disappointed with the quality - quite grainy and compressed. Could make out most license plates but not all, and that was midday, dread to think what it is like dusk/night time.
I have a fly6 packaged and ready to send back to Wiggle (ordered it just before I found out about the Aldi one). Really not sure now which one to keep/send back...
Anyone else any problems with turning itself off? Is there any way (settings perhaps?) to improve the quality?

Watching with interest re the cameras - I have two - one still in packaging, one unpacked but never used in anger to can still go back depending on whether it's any good or not...

The front and rear lights though - recieved mine today via a web order - blimey they're bright! And not a point source either, the light output is spread over a quite wide area.
The mounts however are made of very brittle feeling plastic - will they last? I'm tempted to take mine back and buy some Moon lights instead - yeah so the Aldi lights are cheaper but that's not great economics if the mounts break.

I bought the lights and have used them today. I have the moon rear equivalent and the build and finish are comparable. Run time the same. 2.15hrs on both front and rear at full flashing. The rear is slightly less bright than the moon but still plenty for daytime running and far too much for night.
The lights fit the moon mounts perfectly, the Aldi mounts are not far off, especially the saddle rail mount.
Can't fault them for the money. Time will tell on longevity but they look like they were built in the same factory as moon use so should be comparable in my view.
Just remember that when charging, keep them plugged in until the light goes out as opposed to stopping flashing as I've found that there is a difference in runtime.

I had my light on for the first time this morning on my commute. Same here in that I heard 3 beeps and assumed that was just the battery down a charge level as per the manual. However, when I got to work I discovered that the light was off! No idea if it happened when it beeped or not. A bit useless if it does just turn itself off - I'll try again on my way home and see if it happens again. Also, why are the beeps so loud when turning on and off?!

They seem identical to the mounts on last years super duper bright lights. I've not had one from last year break yet.

I've mounted the new one on the front of my postie bike front rack. That rotated while riding along a very bumpy back lane this morning, but it's on very thin tubing painter with glossy paint. I might need to bulk out the tubing with some old inner tube and duct tape.

those socks are very good. Would have been nice if they were longer but ideal for this time of year!

Neoprene gloves are good, good fit for me, thin enough to retain some feel, and very warm.

This might be a shock but the turbo is arse. Don't bother.

Is the co2 inflator any good?
Can you partially use the cylinder then lock the head or is it 1 use only?

If anyone missed out on the rear light/camera or on a long sleeved merino baselayer I have one of each that I'm happy to sell for RRP.

Email in profile if anyone is interested.

I bought one last time around and it has a screw 'tap' on it, so yes you can shut it off. I am sure these things leak though once punctured, I went to use a partially discharged Lezeyne one on Sunday and there was nothing left in the cartridge.

After hearing about someone locally who got knocked off by an HGV (cutting back in to avoid an oncoming car) and the police doing nothing because there was no camera footage, I decided to look into getting one.

I almost ordered one of the Aldi rear light/cameras when they came out but was glad I didn't when I heard all of the reviews.

There has now been a firmware upgrade resolving the previous problems so I went to my local store to see if the still had any and they did (reduced to £29.99).

I bought one (well 3 actually) and did the firmware upgrade and have used it a couple of time for dawn/dusk commutes and it is pretty good). Clarity is fine, number plates are visible and it just seems to work.
