OK - if like me you don't like bodges then this might save you hanging on for the new XT 11 speed stuff.

Hopefully mine lands today to keep my retro 1x10 speed setup current :O)
I think Westbrook are selling them for 90

Still think I'll wait for shimano to get on it (hurry up Shimano if you are reading this)
Great to see options like this but I'll hold out for 11 speed as the xt cassettes will be cheaper.
HAving used the absolute blakc converter - I'd avoid anything with more than one alu cog.
The cassette will be cheaper with shimano but then you need the mech and shifter to compliment it!
It'll keep us 10 speed ludites going.
hg- interesting. Will see about longevity. Mines arriving today hopefully.

Won't happen with 10 speed and Shimano - they only ever put innovation into their current groupsets from XTR down so wide range cassettes will need an upgrade to 11 speed as it trickles down through the range.
At current prices it'll be cheaper to buy a new 10 speed shifter, mech and cassette than to buy this cassette. If 11 speed is similar then that seems a better option all round.
I'm on 3x9 at the moment. Going ten or eleven is going to cost about the same for me.
What was wrong with a triple.?
quite a few things so it's good to have options like thisWhat was wrong with a triple.?

I don't get your point, If you are already 10 speed by buying this cassette you can keep your existing drive train and just change from a standard cassette, to get a similar range on 11 speed you'd have to buy new cassette, shifter and chain at a minimum which would cost more than double the price of this cassette
The point was that at current 10 speed prices you could change all those components for less than the price of this cassette. If Shimano produce 11 speed big range at around the same price as the current 10 speed then you will be able to do the same (and when the cassette wears it'll be much cheaper)to get a similar range on 11 speed you'd have to buy new cassette, shifter and chain at a minimum which would cost more than double the price of this cassette
Not knocking it. Good on them for making it. It's exactly what the market needs. Just a shame it's not XT/SLX price, or even twice the price, its around 3x the price or an XT casstte
Looking on Wiggle a Hope 40T extender and an XT 10sp cassette come to £82 so it's in the right ball park. Also you don't get the big jump from removing the 17T sprocket. Of course you are likely to keep the extender for at least two cassettes as it won't be used that often which makes the maths a little different. Assume a TRex lasts for two cassettes: TRex + 2 XT cassettes = £106 whereas the Praxis comes out at £180 for two cassettes.
