I have been using BCN this weekend for a trip to Aviemore, Scotland. I have been using it for a few years now without a problem, but there now seems to be some difficulty in viewing map tiles both online and offline.

With on-line viewing there are large gaps in the display with no map data, seemingly only for the Aviemore area. If I scroll around there doesn't seem to be a problem elsewhere.

Off-line I have previously downloaded map tiles for the Aviemore area and used these last year. Now tiles that I could previously view no longer appear. I have checked other areas for which I have downloaded map tiles and these all appear OK.

Has anyone had similar problems or can suggest what is happening here? I have posted on BCN community help but it doesn't appear to be too frequented, hoping for more joy here.

Try all the usual stuff, uninstalling the app, Empty your cache etc...

I thought about uninstalling, but if I do this will I lose all my data (map tiles, tracks, etc.)

No, you should have an account, username and password, means you can take it from phone to phone.

I have found, and now always do this, that looking at the 'downloaded maps' after the download is complete and zooming to full view in the area whilst still connected to the download network ensures they show up when actually offline - mihht be a fluke, but works for me!

It's not just recently downloaded tiles but those I downloaded last year, and used then, some of which are no longer visible.

I appreciate the idea of reinstalling as a possible solution but I would worry about losing all the previously downloaded maps and tracks that are stored on the phone. As I only use the Aviemore maps perhaps once a year, and my local maps are fine I'm thinking I might just ignore it for the time being. Unless there is a less drastic option.

Just an idea, but is it possible to delete a folder of maps and then re-download them?
