Hello,
I have a Rear Pro 2 wheel which when in the frame dropouts and with the rear QR fully tightened (very tight), when I hold the rim, there is a little sideways play coming from the hub.
I presume that it is the bearings?
If so is it a full rebuild and replace all the bearings or are one or more known to go and cause this problem.

Yep its the wheel bearings goosed,If your getting a bike shop to repair it might be worthwhile getting all the others replaced while your in there.
get the free hub serviced as well 😉

I'll be replacing them myself (done the old XC Ti hub a few times).
I presumed it was the bearings just was surprised they have gone so soon (1 year) as the XC Ti hub ran fine for over 4 years.
As I will be doing it myself, are any of the bearing more prone to going?
They are all prone to wear once any crap gets in there,I think the seal between the free hub body and Hub wears a bit causing water and dirt ingress,Check the freehub rear block for any movement before you remove it.Its all pretty straight forward just follow the above linky 😉
