Apart from the bearings? I'm thinking of converting my pro 2 to 10mm bolt through. The kit is £12 for the Evo and £21 for the pro 2. Can I get away with the cheap one?

They are completely different kits, the Evo was updated due to the 10mm axles snapping in the old pro 2

Cheers. So only the original one will work with my hub then?

A set of EVO bearings and axle will fit into an old pro2 hub shell and vice versa, but you'll need to replace the free hub body too, since they are completely different internally.

AFAIK, the axles in pro 2s snapped no more frequently than any other hub, but if you wanted to change to 10mm on the older pro2, you needed to change the axle and spacers - pro2 evos keep the axle irrespective and its all done by changing the spacers.

There's a link somewhere that compares the two, and tells you what parts you need to buy to make a Pro 2 into an Evo. I found it on the forum a few months back (when the Evo first came out?), so a good forum search should dig it up.
