I have a very nice old 531 road frame that would make a nice pub/town bike. Only problem is, it's been standing on a damp floor for a few years and has a fair bit of pitting around the BB shell and chain stays.

Is it possible to fill these if it's going to be powder coated?

Ta!

Thanks Simon, but it's the pitting I'm worried about. If it was for painting or enamelling I'd gob it up with a good car body filler, but I'm concerned that this might cause problems when powder coating.

Anyone got any ideas or advice?

speak to your powder coater, they'll no doubt blast the frame to clean off the paint anyway so that will clear all / some of it up.
