it is a bit like posh fleece, but polished on one side.
keeps you dryish and warm.

I have a marmot powerstretch 1/2 zip, love it for running in the coldest conditions as the smooth face creates some windproofing but its completely wickable and breathable. I find nothing else really works when running hard in sub zero temperatures. But its not cheap and doesn't fend off water.
