[#830577]

I've got a steel road bike frame that I want stripping and repainting/powder coating.

Anyone know of any firms around the Guildford/Farnborough area?

Didn't find one when I was looking in the same area 6 months ago. Ended up sending mine down to a place in Kent who did a pretty good job. Some in the yellow pages etc but none with websites I could find.

I used a place in Langley, Slough - 30 mins by car. Not a specialist bike place but did a pretty good job of my RL853 a couple of years back. Only issue is colour choice, as long as it's a colour they had in stock they were happy to do it, but not worth their effort to buy fresh in for such a small job.

If you dont have any luck, I just dropped mine to a place in Essex, if you want to drop me a line I can let you know later if its a nice job or not...

£50 for solid colours £70 for something a bit more fancy..

Cheers jonv.

I've just spoken to the guys at Cycleworks and they've recommended a place over in Aldershot called Aroura who have done work for other customers/friends. Phoned the man and I'm taking the frame over later in the week to see what they can do.

Don't want anything too flashy but it's a nice light hand brazed frame which my brother gave me in p/e for fettling his road bike.

Cheers tinsy.

Those sound like excellent prices. I'll see how I get on in Aldershot as it's nice and local.

Someone off here also recommended Aroura when I asked a similar question a while back. I didn't follow it through though, but I'd be interested to hear how you get on.

They're based in Mitcham. It does mention on the client page they've done bikes

Just having a look at the http://www.powdercoatingessex.co.uk/ site as per Tinsy's post...pic 16 in the gallery made me laugh 😉

jova54 - sounds like you have it sorted, but yes was windridge and worked out at about £100 from memory.
