Hello,
I'm just joining the upgrade to the world of more recent post mount forks, in the form of some new SID Teams but I still need to fit my IS mount Hope M4 Monos (180mm discs) on to them.

Can anyone suggest the best way to achieve this?

I have read talk of adaptors that require 20mm bigger discs, but would this really be necessary in this case? would prefer to stick with the discs and calipers I have if poss.

Search 'giant manitou mount' in google. The mount sold by the first shopping result lets you keep the same size disc.

Do you mean this?

Will it fit on Hope Mono M4 brakes (caliper #3 I think)?

I can't guarantee it'll fit, but it's worth a try to save £25 on a rotor.

In the end I went with this from Clee Cycles http://clee-cycles.co.uk/cc/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/21_73/products_id/989?osCsid=577b515e5836b5cb61c12732703c84aa which is a 160mm IS to PM adaptor. With a few short spacers it seems to have fitted perfectly onto my new SIDs with the existing Hope no.3 caliper and 180mm disc. Can't wait to get out of town and try it all ...
