Thoughts? Looked decent in Go Outdoors and my daughter liked it. Hoping the small ones come with soft springs in that coil fork.

This one? I like the colours. The website's saying a Medium build comes in at over 17kg though! That's Halfords Apollo BSO-grade heft!

The frame might be ok - guessing the D5 and D7 share a frame - looks like the old Bossnut frame that seems to have been discontinued (made by Polygon).

However the D5 spec is pretty poor - that fork will be awful / don’t count on a sensible spring in there. A mate has a Marin hardtail with a similar Suntour fork and at 13.5 stone he can’t get more then about 70mm of the claimed 120mm travel out of it.

I’d urge you to try and stretch to the D7 - it actually had a proper air fork on it, and dropper post and decent drivetrain. Will save you a lot of money on broken parts / not up to it bots that are on the D5.

Where are you located? There are quite a few GO stores in "Closing Down" sales (refits) and they'll have 30% off.

that looks decent. but budget for a replacement air fork. just replace other bits as they wear out.
