[#2912745]

I need to replace some straps that have 'gone' missing from my bike carrier. I found that the specific straps for the make and model but it would cost £5.45 per strap 😯 !!! Does anyone know of a good alternative as I need four for our forthcoming Sherwood pines family trip.. Ta!

I got a Thule carrier last week and very pleased with it. The straps seem very specific and robust if it was me I would swtump up for the proper ones, bit pricey I agree.

I replaced my lost ones with these pendle straps - 2 for £3.

the only problem being that every time I put my bike on the rack I end up singing 'oh mr pendle...' to the tune of Arrested Developements "Mr Wendell" 🙂

+1 for roofbox - had to get some myself after dropping friends off and forgetting to do the straps up.
Just buy a pack of ten as you will lose more and you'll find all sorts of uses for them - like strapping rear mudguard to wheels so that they don't flap like mad on the motoruway
