[#466642]

I bought a frame off taka on here not so long ago. It's a 2007 commencal combi hydraulic disc. He told me it was semi integrated headset type. Which as far as I'm aware is the same as zero stack, internal and in FSAs case, Orbit Z. So I bought this: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=15888

Now I don't know an awful lot about these things but measuring the cups against the frame and theres not way they're gonna fit in.

Are there different size steerer tubes on frames and the headset I have is too wide. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

a headset that reduces the headtube for a 1 1/8 steerer from a 1.5" steerer (like on a cannondale)

The case at the moment is the the cups seem too big for the frame. Or the size of the frames tube is too small for the headset cups.....

Your frame needs a standard 1 1/8" headset, it's not semi integrated.

Headtube internal diameter for for 1 1/8" is around 34mm so yes it sounds like it.
