Chatting to my boss last week he mentioned that I'd better make sure I take all my remaining holiday before august. Easy thought I and plans for a road trip to places I'd only read about began to form.
What I'm thinking is get the bike and a tent and driveto Scotland, ride for 3/4/5 days and then head home to the southeast via a couple of days riding in the lakes (and maybe a break at Cannock to check out the new bit).
What is the stw wisdom on this endeavour, where I target in scotland (7 stanes or otherwise) and which 'classic' lakes rides should I do?
Cheers. Jez

Ah! Mr. Kidd! How are you?
There are about a 'zillion' posts on this subject in the forum.
Run a search.
To kind of summarise...
If yo have less time and just want to do trails centres then 7Stanes would do you very nicely. If you have more time and want those big mountain routes then Torridon might be the place for you. There are loads of alternatives in between. Dont forget FW, Golspie, Laggan, etc, etc.
Enjoy 🙂 whatever you end up doing.
