[Closed] Pitmedden parking ?

Park just off the road from Strathmiglo, as soon as you turn onto the forest road. Ride up the forest road to the top, and turn and pass the gate. There is a real maze of excellent singletrack, but it is impossible to describe. Also there was thinning taking place before Christmas, and it was so wet during that period that I,haven't dared to return yet. I'm confident that if you like roots singletrack you'll enjoy it.

Depends which direction your coming from... Follow signs for the 4x4 centre.

If your coming up from the Strathmiglo side, then go past the 4x4 centre and continue down the hill. parking at the "Sawmills" entrance will be on your right (FC signs).

If your coming up from Abernethy then you will come to the parking before the 4x4 centre about 3/4 of the way up the hill.

Place is a maze, a lot of stuff is on Strava to get you started. When you thinking of headed out? i could show you about but not this weekend. Email in profile if interested...

Cheers I will be coming from Cupar way through Auchtermuchty. Someone told me to drive up through there and park just past a specific house but I've forgotten the details!!

Is there a proper forest car park?

Coming up through Auchtetmuchty go past the Jimmy Shand statue and the road forks at a white house. Take the left turn up towards the venison farm. There is a forestry car park on the right about a mile up this road.

It's a disaster zone at present. I really wouldn't bother at the moment. The middle connecting sections all gone with the felling. Have a look on Trail Scotland website. I live in Auchtermuchty, know the trails well, and I struggle to get a decent length ride in at present. Hopefully will be fixed later in year.
